Tennessee unemployment rate finally slips below 8 percent

For the first time since April of 2013, the unemployment rate in Tennessee has slipped below 8 percent. The Tennessee Department of Labor & Workforce Development announced today that the state's unemployment rate for December is 7.8 percent. In November, the rate was 8.1 percent.
